Giotto Trophy 2026 in Imperia: young Optimist talents ready to challenge each other at sea.

Imperia is preparing to host a new edition of the Giotto Trophy – Crescere a Colori , one of the most eagerly awaited events in Ligurian youth sailing dedicated to the Optimist class.

The event, organized by the Porto Maurizio Yacht Club, represents an important stage in the FIV calendar and a fundamental opportunity for many young sailors aiming to qualify for the National Championships.

Also for 2026 the Giotto Trophy confirms its vocation: to promote youth sport, the technical growth of athletes and the values of sailing through competition, passion and team spirit.

A regatta that looks to the future

Over the years, the Giotto Trophy has become a benchmark for Optimist sailing in the Northwest. The regatta attracts young helmsmen from numerous sailing clubs and stands out for its high level of technical and organizational prowess.

According to estimates, around 65-70 participants are expected in the water for this edition, divided into the various categories and divisions provided for by the Optimist class.

The event will be valid as:

• FIV zonal selection,

• qualifying test for the national championships,

• an opportunity for the best young athletes in the area to compete.
