The 2024 edition of the Vele d’Epoca di Imperia concluded with overwhelming success, attracting an enthusiastic crowd of visitors and sailing enthusiasts. In addition to the spectacular regattas, featuring historic vessels like Aria, Resolute Salmon, and the majestic Puritan, this edition offered a rich program of events for all, making it one of the most appreciated ever.
The basketball camps for kids and the pool games, which saw crews, dock staff, and parking attendants compete, added a fun and participatory element. The lounge, set up on Anselmi Wharf, became a prime meeting spot, encouraging networking among the event’s key players and turning the evenings into genuine happenings. Moreover, on Friday night, internationally renowned DJ Christian Marchi transformed the wharf into an open-air dance floor, delivering unforgettable moments to the audience.
Marina di Imperia played a key role as a hub for the event’s organization, with its dock staff diligently coordinating boat operations, ensuring safe departures and returns to the harbor. During the event, numerous visitors stopped by the Marina di Imperia stand to inquire about the future development project for the port, eager to know when work would start, how long it would take, and what luxury services — including hotels and restaurants — would be introduced. The anticipation is palpable, with many eagerly awaiting the new face of Marina di Imperia.
The event concluded with the regatta award ceremony. The elegant Marga, one of the oldest vessels in the competition, won the parade, while Anne Sophie claimed the title in the International 8mR class, establishing herself as one of the top competitors.
